MEDICATION IN SCHOOL – KEEPING STUDENTS SAFE
A reminder for DMHS parents and students:
Students are not permitted to carry medication in school. This includes prescription, and over-the-counter medication such as Tylenol, Advil and even cough drops.
If your son or daughter needs to take medication in school, please have them pick up a medication administration form from the school nurse. All medications (prescription and over-the-counter) are to be administered from the nurse's office.
(Exception to this are students who carry an EpiPen and Asthma inhaler with consent to carry documentation. A permission to carry form is available from the school nurse.)
Contact Louize Evans, DMHS nurse, at 480-484-7011, if you have any questions.
